David Wison

David Russell Wilson, age 81, of Nancy, KY, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024 at his residence.

David was born on November 9, 1942 in Somerset, KY to the late Dolphus Wilson and Edith Simpson Wilson.  He retired from Crane Plumbing.  

He is survived by his son, David “Rusty” (Matina) Wilson, Jr. of Nancy; one granddaughter, Shelby Lynn (Chad) Simpson of Eubank; one brother, Wayne (Joyce) Wilson of Somerset; one sister, Jan (Gerald) Stringer of Nancy; and many nieces, nephews and other family members.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Sue Hunley Wilson, whom he married on November 27, 1964 in Somerset and she preceded him on November 13, 2022.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2024 from 12:00pm until 1:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

His funeral service will follow on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at 1:00pm with Bro. Gary Clark officiating.  A private Graveside service will be held at Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center.
