Columbus Profitt

Columbus Proffitt, Jr., 91, of Somerset, KY passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at the Jean Waddle Care Center.

He was born on May 15, 1924; son of the late Lum & Ellen Sparks Proffitt. He was a retired miner and a member of the Neon Kentucky Church of God.

He is survived by his wife, Jewell King Proffitt; two sons, Dan & (Sue) Proffitt of Elsmere, KY, and Albert & (Dorothy Elieen) King of Brontson, KY; one daughter, Faye & (Winfred) Mauk; five grandchildren, Angela Purcell, Melissa Dalton, Lisa Proffitt, Danny Proffitt, and Michael Mauk; and ten great-grandchildren, Matthew Seng, Molly Seng, Ashley Seng, Emily Seng, Joshua Clark, Jacob Clark, Mason Dalton, Olivia Purcell, Kaetlyn Purcell, and Morgan Purcell; and one great-great-grandchild, Marilyn Clark.

A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon, Monday, April 18, 2016 at Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Brad Gover officiating.

Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held from 11 am Monday, April 18, 2016 until time for funeral services.

Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
