Charles Tucker

Mr. Charles Edward Tucker, Sr. son of the late Lowell Milton and Sarah Elizabeth Casada Tucker, was born in the Oak Hill Community of Pulaski County on Sunday March 25, 1945 and he departed this life on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 having attained the age of 70 years 11 months and 27 days.
On October 10, 1964 he was united in marriage to Geneva Ann Edison in Ferguson, Kentucky. She survives. Other survivors include one son, Charles Edward " Eddie" Tucker, Jr. of London, Kentucky, and one daughter, Sonya Carol (and James) Salyers of Yosemite, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Marcus and Lucas Salyers; four brothers, Robert Tucker of West Chester, Ohio, Johnny Tucker of Eubank, Kentucky; Lee and Terry Tucker both of Somerset, Kentucky; five sisters, Mary Young, Ellen Roberts, Fayrene Mayfield, and Stella Harrison all of Somerset, Kentucky, Juanita Stanton of Cincinnati, Ohio, and a large host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends that he held very dear to his heart.
Other than his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Wells.
Mr. Tucker worked his way up to supervisor with Rental Uniform Service a after many years of successful hard work with the company. He was an outdoor enthusiast, and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family, as well as horseback riding and gardening. He was a devoted member of the Parkers Mill Road Baptist Church where he was active as long as his health would permit. He was a kind and loving person who never met a stranger, he loved life and enjoyed interacting with people in order to bring out the best in them.
He will be greatly missed by his relatives, friends, and church family and leaves a vast host of people who mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2016 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Darry Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
The family of Mr. Charles Edward Tucker will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2016.
In Lieu of flowers the family of Mr. Tucker requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice of Lake Cumberland or the American Cancer Society.
