Charles Molen

Mr. Charlie Franklin Molen, departed from this life on Monday, August 1, 2016 at his residence in Somerset, having attained the age of 86.

Charlie Franklin Molen, son of the late Harry and Beatrice Molen was born in Nancy, KY on May 3, 1930. He is a retired employee of the Kentucky Department of Transportation, a member of White Oak Baptist Church, and a Kentucky Colonel.

He is survived by his three sons, Danny (and Kathy) Molen of Frankfort, KY, David (and Kathy) Molen of Somerset, Steven (and Kim) Molen of Somerset; three grandchildren, Jordan, Kelsee, and Will Molen; and a sister, Bessie Ann Claunch.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Jennie Molen, whom he loved more than life, and is now reunited in Heaven; a brother, James Porter Molen; and a sister, Juanita Stigall.

Mr. Charlie F. Molen will be deeply missed by all whom knew him.

Visitation will be on Thursday, August 4, 2016 from 11:00am until 2:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Butte officiating. Burial will be at Lakeside Memorial Gardens. Military honors will be conducted by American Legion Post #38. Pallbearers will be Mike Cornett, Charlie Roberts, Jordan Molen, Richard Stigall, Jerry Claunch, and Tood Wood.

The family request expressions of sympathy to be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland. 100 Parkway Dr. Somerset, KY 42503.
