Cathy Darline (Sumpter) Wilson, age 61, of Nancy, Kentucky, passed away Friday, September 28, 2018, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 2, 2018, in the chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. T.J. Godby officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Lakeside Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until time for the funeral at 3:00 p.m.
Cathy was born February 20, 1957, the daughter of Howard Clifford and Darline (Ard) Sumpter. Her father precedes her in death.
Surviving family include her mother, Darline Sumpter of Nancy, her husband Jeff "Bruno" Wilson whom she married July 25, 1992, her sister, Lesia Cook (husband Shannon) of Nancy, brother, H.C. Sumpter (wife Cindi) of Nancy and a special niece who she considered her daughter, McKenzie Cook.
Her in-laws are Randall and Donna Wilson, Debbie and Jim Murphy, and JoNell and Bubba Shaw. Nieces and nephews: McKenzie Cook, Eli Cook, Hunter Sumpter, Justin Wilson, Colby Campbell and Carrie Jo Shaw. Great nieces are Christine and Chloe and Emma and Chloe.
Cathy loved her family and her dogs: Jazzmene and Hoda Lee. She enjoyed get-togethers where she could cook and entertain people. She liked to shop and go antiquing. She was a member of the American Legion Post 38 Auxiliary. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
