Caroll Newell

December 4, 1932 — September 14, 2015

Carroll Loyd Newell, 82, was born in Science Hill, Kentucky to the late Willie P. and Velma E. Newell. He is the last of six children, Charles, Agnes, James, his twin brother Harold and Paul.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Bennie G. ; two daughters, Elizabeth A. Smith (Tommy), Brenda K. Dawson ( Gordon ) and his son, Edwin P. He was blessed with four grandchildren, Jennifer Smith Brewer ( Jeff ), Kimberly Smith Goodrich ( Eric ), Benjamin C. King ( Kyla ) and Charles C. King. He was extra blessed with five great-grandchildren, Jackson and Kaitlyn Brewer, Audrey and Harrison Goodrich and Kennedy King.

As a carpenter, he was hard working and talented in building or fixing anything, he even helped build the Eastlawn Wesleyan Church which he was a member of for over 50 years. Dad has a T shirt that reads "If it's broke, Dad can fix it " and he did. He was given a willing heart to help others and take care of their needs. Carroll was known as the " Ford Man ", he loved to joke around with those who didn't drive one ( you know who you are ). He is with the Lord now asking what needs to be done or fixed. His loving memories will be in our hearts forever.
