Carlene Sue Curry

Carlene Sue Curry, age 62, of Somerset, KY, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center. Carlene loved the outdoors, sitting in her swing, soaking in the sunshine. She was a godly person and attended church when she was able. She loved her family and one of her favorite things was to take care of her grandchildren. Aside from celebrating Jesus at Christmas, she loved the antics and always had fun with April Fools Day!

Carlene was born on December 2, 1961 in Dayton, OH to the late Lowell B. Flynn and Ina Rice Flynn. 

She is survived by her husband, James Curry, whom she married on July 28, 1978 in Campbellsville, KY; one son, Chad (Beth) Curry of Somerset; one daughter, Candace Curry of Somerset; one brother, Richard (Judy) Flynn of Eubank; seven grandchildren, Logan Curry, Ally (Isaiah) Warren, Libby Curry, Maddi Curry, Zoey Wilson, Marley Harris and Emmi Curry; and one great granddaughter due to arrive in December.

Along with her parents, Lowell B. and Ina Flynn, Carlene was preceded in death by one brother, Rodger Flynn; and one sister, Diana Flynn.

Visitation for Carlene Curry will be on Friday, July 12, 2024 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Hwy 80, Somerset, KY 42503.

A Graveside service will be follow on Friday, July 12, 2024 at 2:30 pm at Lakeside Memorial Gardens with Bro. Gordy Prather officiating.
