Billy Lewis Gadberry, age 68, of Nancy, KY, departed this life on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at his home. Born September 19, 1948 in Somerset, KY, he was the son of the late Lewis Hopper and Edna Kathleen (Johnson) Gadberry.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers who died in infancy and a nephew, Barry Jason Ryan.
He was known as the local auto mechanic and general handyman in the Nancy community and was of the Baptist faith. He was a 1966 graduate of Nancy High School.
Survivors include one brother, Bobby Joe (and Sherlene) Gadberry of Nancy; three sisters, Martha Lou (and Jerry) Wilson of Science Hill, Mary Sue (and Greg) Fitzgerald of Somerset and Polly Ann (and Jeff) Molen of Nancy; and like a brother, Keith Flanagan of Nancy.
He is also survived by three nephews, Chris (and Rebekah) Pierce, Chad (and Debbie) Pierce and Matthew (and Molly) Molen; five nieces, Bobbie Jolene (and David) Bernard, Angie Ryan (and Jimmy Brunson), Amanda (and Andrew) Barber, Brooke (and Jeremy) England and Lisa Marie (and Jon) Anderson; and twelve great nephews and eight great nieces.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 after 5:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 1:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Butte officiating. Burial will be at Lakeside Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Chris Pierce, Chad Pierce, Matthew Molen, Daniel Bernard, David Bernard, Jeremy England, Jimmy Brunson and Brandon Barber.
The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to the donor's choice in memory of Billy Lewis Gadberry.
