Bill Shadoan

Bill Shadoan, age 83, of Somerset, KY, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center.

Bill was born on December 23, 1935 in Somerset, KY to the late Estil Shadoan and Hester Worley.  He was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church and retired from Tecumseh with over twenty-five years of service.  He enjoyed coffee at Hardee’s and keeping his yard looking nice.

He is survived by one son, Billy Kirk (and Susan) Shadoan; two daughters, Lisa Shadoan of Somerset and Jenene McKinney (and Scott Wooten) of Mt. Vernon, KY; one brother, Tom Shadoan of Somerset; one sister, Shirley (and Dick) Ford of Ferguson; two grandchildren, Josh (and Rachelle) McKinney and Jacob (and Amber) McKinney; and four great grandchildren.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Joe Ann Shadoan, whom he married on June 28, 1955 in New Albany, IN, and she preceded him on December 1, 2016; and one brother, John D. (and Lois “Peanut”) Shadoan.

A Graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at 10:00am at Lakeside Memorial Gardens with Pastor Gary Phelps officiating.

The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to the Gideon Bible Memorial Fund or Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
