Bertha Johnson

Mrs. Bertha L. Haynes Johnson, daughter of the late Lee and Rosie Ellen Mayfield Meece, was born at Meece, Kentucky on Tuesday, December 16, 1924 and she departed this life on Friday, December 11, 2015 having attained the age of 90 years, 11 months and 25 days.
She was first united in marriage to Mr. Lester Haynes. He preceded her in death.
She was later united in marriage to Mr. Orville Johnson. He too, preceded her in death.
Survivors include; one daughter, Shirley Wilson of Science Hill, KY; two sons, Donald (and Brenda) Haynes of Ferguson, KY and Clarence "Pup" (and Peggy) Haynes of Somerset, KY; also surviving are a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Other than her parents and her two husbands, she was also preceded in death by; one son, Lester Haynes, Jr; one daughter, Ruth Ellen Colyer; five brothers, Roy, Cecil, Claude, James and Elbert Meece; and three sisters, Dorothy Bear, Imogene Ramsey and Edna Meece.
Bertha was a wonderful lady who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She leaves a vast host of relatives and friends who mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 17, 2015 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Haynes officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens. The family of Bertha L. Haynes Johnson will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. Thursday until time for services.
