Anna Lee Thompson, age 75 of Burnside, KY, departed this life on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
She was born on January 21, 1935 in Somerset, KY, the daughter of late George and Sylvia Macklin Stringer. Mrs. Thompson was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and a very caring person. She enjoyed flowers, flower gardening, and caring for her close friend, her dog, "Buddy".
Mrs. Thompson is survived by her daughter, Kathie (and Scotty) Richardson of Burnside, KY; three grandchildren, Jonathan Richardson, Chad (and Serena) Bolin, and Angel (and James) Burton; four great grandchildren, Taylor Burton, Tori Burton, Hunter Frodelius, and Jayden Bolin; a brother, Goldie (and Kaye) Stringer of Somerset, KY; and two sisters, Faye (and Henry) Lester of Somerset, KY and Irene Dagley of Somerset, KY.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Wendell Harold Thompson, whom she married on April 26, 1954 in Frazer, KY and passed away on June 14, 2010; a daughter, Katie Lee Bolin; and a sister, Jenniav Girdler.
Anna will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Visitation for Mrs. Thompson will Sunday, October 3rd at the Main Street Baptist Church in Burnside, KY with a funeral service to follow at 6:00 pm. Bro. Allen Keith will officiate. Interment will be in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens on Monday, October 4th at 11:00 am.
