Corlas VanHoosier

June 24, 1947 — October 2, 2019

Corlas VanHoosier, daughter of the late William Bradley and Elma Mae Bailey Baker, was born  June 24, 1947 in Somerset, KY and she departed this life on October 2, 2019 having attained the age of 72 years.She was united in marriage to Mr. Donald VanHoosier, he preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Sharon (and Mike) Hansford of Somerset, KY and Phyllis (and David) Phelps of Bronston, KY; two brothers, Dexter Lee Baker of Bledsoe, KY and Randy Bailey Baker of Somerset, KY; two grandchildren, Kevin (and Amanda) Hansford of Shopville, KY and Bethany Phelps of Bronston, KY; one great grandson, Clark Kidwell and one Great grandson on the way, Michael Henry Hansford.Corlas was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, she  retired from Oakwood of the Bluegrass, her joys in this life were family, reading and singing in the church choir. She was a kind lady who will be deeply missed by her friends and family and leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn her passing. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 4, 2019 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro Corey Meggs officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens. The family of Corlas VanHoosier will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home Thursday evening after 6:00 p.m.. In Lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice of Lake Cumberland or the Gideon Memorial Bible Plan. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Corlas VanHoosier.
