William Burkett

February 16, 1930 — May 16, 2020

William "Bill" Burkett, 90, of Somerset, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

He was born in Faubush, Kentucky on February 16, 1930; son of the late Henry T. and Lillie Bland Burkett. He was the owner and operator until his retirement of Burkett Masonry. He enjoyed gardening, and collecting coins and knives. He was a member of Emanuel Baptist Church

He is survived by his son, Billy & (Melodye) Burkett; a daughter, Janie & (Eddie Bill) Ping; his grandchildren; his great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Patsy Burkett, and Ada Burkett; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Jerry Burkett, Jimmy Burkett, and Eyvind Burkett, Alodine Bland, Genice Mink, Oneida Whitaker, and Irene Boyer.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, Mary 20, 2020 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. David Gambrel officiating.

Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be after 10 AM Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at Pulaski Funeral Home until time for services. In accordance with the recommendations concerning the COVID-19, please understand that there will be certain limitations in attendance. Please be aware that upon arrival you will be asked to comply with certain regulations set forth by the Governor's office.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Emanuel Baptist Church.
