Jolene Rogers

Jolene Solomon Rogers, age 59, of Nancy, KY, passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

Jolene was born on February 1, 1962 in Somerset, KY to the late Riley Solomon and Jennetta (Eads) Solomon.  She was the wife of Mark Rogers whom she married on August 30, 1980.  She was a member of Mill Springs Fellowship Church.  Jolene was an employee for Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.  She loved bears, gospel music, doing puzzle books and enjoyed meeting with the 80’s Ladies.   Jolene was known as the person who would hug and give a smile to everyone.  She was a blessing to those who met her.  She loved her grandbabies more than anything in the world and made sure her daughters took care of them.

She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Mark Rogers of Nancy; three daughters, Joni (Justin) Ridner, Mindy (Sam) Martin and Amber (J.D.) Troxtle; nine grandchildren, Hunter Troxtle, Brylee Troxtle, Brityn Martin, Dani Jo Ridner, Ella Troxtle, Harper Martin, Charli Martin, Luke Ridner and Emma Troxtle (and pending the arrival of Baby Ridner); her father-in-law, Everett (Joyce) Rogers; brothers-in-law, Jim (Belinda) Rogers and Paul Ard; and a host of special nephews and nieces.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Solomon; and one sister, Linda Ard.

Visitation will be on Sunday, September 12, 2021 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.  The family asks that mask be worn during the visitation and funeral.

A second visitation will be held on Monday, September 13, 2021 from 9:00am until 11:00am at Mill Springs Fellowship Church in Nancy.   Her funeral service will follow on Monday at 11:00am at the church with Bro. Chris Jasper officiating.  Burial will be at Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to Mill Springs Fellowship Church or the American Cancer Society.
