Georgia Adkins

Georgia Delynn Adkins was born November 19, 1934 in Smithtown, KY to Earnest Jones, Sr. and Lula L. Waters Jones, passed away peacefully at her daughters home with her two daughters and one niece by her side. Georgia was a retired rural mail carrier and worked in retail for many years before at J.J. Newberry's and A & P food store in Somerset, KY. She spent the biggest part of her spare time at her husband, Hilery's side entertaining friends and family. She loved to sing and even sang for the crowd at one of Hilery's birthday parties. She is survived by two daughters, three grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her youngest daughter, her youngest granddaughter, and her husband of 69 years, Mr. Hilery Adkins (he passed away three days prior to her). A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 9, 2020 at the Pulaski Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens. The family of Mrs. Adkins will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, January 8, 2020. Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements for Mrs. Georgia Adkins.
