Dorothy Cooper

January 16, 1933 — June 12, 2020

Dorothy Lou Cooper, age 87, of Somerset passed away on Friday, June 12, 2020, at her residence with her family by her side. She was born on January 16, 1933, in Pulaski County to the late William and Ruth Turner.

Mrs. Cooper was a member of Pitman Creek Baptist Church, where she taught the Tiny Tots class for over 25 years. She worked at Jack N Children Children’s Store for 10 years and the Fair Store for over 20 years. Mrs. Coopers enjoyed quilting,  scrapbooking, being outdoors, reading and cooking in her free time. She loved fashion and traveling, especially to the beach.

Mrs. Cooper is preceded in death by her father, William Turner; mother, Ruth Turner; husband, Preston CooperJr.; sisters, Georgia Marie Flynn, Lucille Goff, and Janie Sue Smith.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughter, Connie Cooper Price (Rodney); brothers, Billy Marshall Turner and Willie Steve Turner; sister, Lois Ann Brown; grandchildren, Justin Price (Meghan) and Tennille Honeycutt (Chris); great-granddaughter, Gracie Honeycutt.

Out of respect and concern for public health and safety, Mrs. Cooper will have a private graveside service at Lakeside Memorial Gardens with Bro. Ted Taylor officiating.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be to Pulaski County Humane Society or Pitman Creek Baptist Church.
