Don McGowan

Don McGowan age 76, of Nancy, Kentucky passed from this life Monday, March 29, 2021 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland.

Don was born May 29, 1944 to the late Joe McGowan and Evada Wilson McGowan in Russell County, Kentucky.

He was of the Nazarene faith and enjoyed farming, coon hunting and worked as a painter.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Evada McGowan, brothers, William Ertis McGowan, Wendell Wesley McGowan, sister, Geneve Darlene Lyons.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 51 years, Sharon Kay McGowan, sons, Mat (Tina) McGowan of Cincinnati, OH, Jim (Kathy) McGowan of Glasgow, KY, brothers, Arvis Keith (Linda) Flanagan of Nancy, KY,  Clyde (Omeida) Molen of Somerset, Johnny Molen of Colorado, Lewell (Lora) Molen of Tennessee, sister, Mary Lane of Ohio, grandchildren, Rachal Kay McGowan, Micah Watson, Clark, Parker McGowan and Clay McGowan.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 1, 2021 from 12 to 1 P.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 1 P.M., burial will follow in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to C.O.P.D. Foundation or Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
